Beneath the floor of every old-growth forest lies a vast, invisible network of fungal threads called mycelium.
This living network connects the roots of all the trees in the forest. Through this web, trees actively share nutrients, water, and warnings with each other. If a young sapling is shaded and starving for sunlight, older "mother trees" will pump sugar into the mycelium to feed it.
Kinshi (Japanese for "mycelium") was created to bring this natural, mutual-aid ecosystem to human communities. We are moving away from the isolating nature of money and returning to a system based on non-transactional trust.
Share your surplus. Support the collective. Grow a stronger forest.
